2013 University of San Diego Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Seminar

Naval Junior ROTC Cadet Andrew Scott,  a CHS junior, was selected to attend the 2013 Navy Junior ROTC SUMMER SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH (STEM) SEMINAR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SAN DIEGO (USD) in July.

The purpose of the STEM Seminar is to place academically motivated cadets in a college environment with a college type curriculum, in order to spur their interest in continuing their education following high school and to possibly pursue a future in the Navy.  The STEM Seminar will allow the cadets to apply STEM principles to determine the outcome of hands-on experiments.

The USD STEM program is fully funded by the U.S. Navy, to include airfare, room and board during the weeklong stay at USD.
