College today is very expensive and there are many pitfalls and obstacles set up to cost students more money than they should have to spend. One of the major ways that students overspend on college is by going in undeclared. This gets the student in the door, but upon declaring a major, students often find they have taken classes that do not count towards their major and as such, are useless. Students can save money by properly researching a major and making an informed decision.
