Shawnee’s All-School Musical, “Side Show”, was based on the true-life story of the Hilton Sisters from the 1930s, a set of twins who are conjoined at the hip. The tale centered around the girls as they progress from a Freak Show Act to Hollywood stars. Throughout the show they met several people who helped them to achieve their life dream, to be “like everyone else”. Along the way they discovered important life lessons and learned that love is more essential than fame and fortune.
Mrs. Gina Kehl, Director of the Musical, said, “The Shawnee High School production of Side Show was an amazing success. This touch of history was dramatically brought to life by the wonderful talent of the students in the musical program. The role of the Hilton Sisters was beautifully portrayed beautifully by the four leading ladies. They showed us the importance of dedication, laughter, and love. The story was well-received by audience members of the Medford community and beyond. Bravo to the cast, crew, and orchestra pit.”
