• Scholarships

     

    **The 2018 Local Awards Application is now available for the Class of 2018. CLICK HERE to download it. Hard copies of the application are available in both of the counseling centers. The application is due to Mr. Petragnani by 2:30PM on Thursday, January 18thNo late application will be accepted after this date and time.  Winter break is a perfect time to complete the application.** 

    • Community organizations offer local scholarships and awards to graduating seniors. This application will allow you to be considered for each scholarship and award. All seniors are encouraged to complete this application. 

    Some local scholarships require separate applications. Those scholarships will be available at the bottom of this page under the heading Local & NJ Scholarships. These applications must be filled out in addition to the General Application for Local Scholarships if you want to be considered. Please check the applications for specific requirements and eligibility. 

    In addition, many scholarships are offered by various companies and organizations on a national level.  Some of those scholarship opportunities will be on this page under the heading National Scholarships. Please check the applications for specific requirements and eligibility. 

     

     

     Scholarships 2017-2018

     

    Local & NJ Scholarships:

    Rolling Thunder Scholarship

    Awarding 3 $1000 scholarships for post-high school education. Must be a child of a military member, veteran or fallen soldier. For requirements and application, CLICK HEREDeadline is March 31, 2018.

       

    Isabelle M. Hickman Scholarship

    Awarding a $1,500 renewable scholarship to a student who is in the top 5% of their graduating class and has been accepted by a four-year college. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE. Deadline: April 1, 2018

     

     The Janet Logan Daily Foundation

    Awarding a $10,000 scholarship. Must be a high school senior from NJ who enrolls full-time in an accredited university or college in the US. Student must have routinely demonstrated maturity and integrity within and beyond the classroom. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE. Deadline: April 1,2018

     

    Pest Control Scholarship

    Awarding a $500 scholarship. Winner will be selected based on submission of a creative joke, story, or quick video. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE. Deadline: April 30, 2018

      

    Wilt Chamberlain Memorial Fund Scholarship

    Awarding up $5,000 per year to attend a four-year college; up to $2,500 per year to attend a community college or vocational school.  Applicant must be a high school senior residing in the Metropolitan Philadelphia area, have a cumulative un-weighted GPA of 2.5 or above, and demonstrate significant unmet financial need.     New Jersey Utilities Association Scholarships

    Awarding 2 $1,500 scholarships to students pursuing a trade or vocational degree at an accredit school in New Jersey. Also awarding 2 $1,500 scholarships to students attending an accredited four year college in New Jersey. For eligibility and selections requirements for both scholarships, CLICK HERE Deadline: April 7, 2018

     

    New Jersey Electronic Security Association Scholarship

    Awarding 2 scholarships ($1,500 and $1,000). Only available to the children active-duty police and fire personnel.  Winners will be selected based on a combination of academic achievement, national test scores, extracurricular participation. and an essay. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE.  Deadline: March 29, 2018

     

    Burlington County School Counselor’s Association Scholarship

    Awarding (1) $1,000 scholarship and (7) $500 scholarships to graduating seniors. Winners are selected based on submission of a 300-500 word essay describing how their school counselor influenced his/her life in a positive way.  CLICK HERE for the application. Deadline: April 13, 2018 

     

    Jordon F. Hellyer Memorial Scholarship

    Offering four, $4000 scholars to graduating high school students pursuing a career in full-time Christian Ministry.  CLICK HERE to apply. Deadline: May 25, 2018

     

    NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome Youth Scholarship

    Awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a New Jersey high school senior who is diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome.  For requirements and application, CLICK HERE. Deadline: April 6, 2018

     

    Mary Ann Christopher Nursing Leadership Scholarship

    Awarding three, $500 scholarships to students pursuing a career in nursing. Must be a New Jersey resident and enrolled/enrolling in the 2018 Fall Semester of an accredited School of Nursing BSN program. For requirements and application, CLICK HEREDeadline: March 31, 2018

     

    Disabled American Veterans Scholarship

    Awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior from Burlington County.  Applicants must have a parent or grandparent who is a member of the Disabled American Veterans.  Recipient will be selected based on an essay.  For requirements and application, CLICK HERE.     Builders League Scholarship

    Scholarships, ranging up to $3,500, will be awarded to students from southern New Jersey who will be attending an accredited post-secondary school and pursuing a course of study related to real estate and the construction industry.     Burlington County Board of Agriculture Scholarship

    Awarding scholarships to students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture or a career benefitting the agricultural community. Also awarding 1 scholarship to a student majoring in Equine Studies.  For requirements and application, CLICK HERE.  Deadline: April 6, 2018

     

    Jersey Sound Chorus Scholarship

    Awarding 1 $500 scholarship to one graduating female student in the Tri-State area who intends to pursue a career in vocal music and/or performance threatre. For requirements and application, CLICK HEREDeadline: April 17, 2018

     

    Sisters That Are Rendering Service Scholarship

    Awarding 4 $1,500 scholarships to African-American high school seniors. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE.  Deadline: April 2, 2018

     

    South Jersey JDRF: Athlete Scholarship

    Awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a student with Type 1 Diabetes. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or better and participate in a sport while managing their diabetes. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE Deadline: May 18, 2018

     

    Dunkin Donuts Philadelphia Area Scholarship Program

    Awarding 25 $2,000 scholarships. Recipients will be selected based on academic record, demonstration of leaderships, participation in school and community activities, work experience, and a statement of goals.  For requirements and application, CLICK HERE Deadline: April 15, 2018

     

    South Jersey Golf Association Golf Scholarship

    Awarding numerous scholarships (ranging from $500-$1,500) to graduating seniors who play golf on their high school team.  Recipients will be selected based on merit, financial need is not considered.   CLICK HERE for edibility/application requirements and CLICK HERE to download the application. Deadline: April 11, 2018

     

    South Jersey Bowling Association

    The applicant must be a High School Senior and sponsored by a member of the South Jersey USBC Bowling Association. Sponsors must be a current member of South Jersey USBC Bowling Association. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE. Deadline: April 15, 2018.

     

    Burlington County PTA Scholarship

    Requirements:  1) 500 word essay on the title of “Superheroes of Tomorrow”, 2) must have a GPA of 2.5 or better, and 3) must submit list of community service activities.  Essay and activity list can be submitted to lhoward@njpta.org. Please see your counselor to have your transcript sent.  Deadline: May 18, 2018.

     

    Robert Richard Rudd Scholarship

    Awarding a $500 scholarship. Through Holy Trinity United Church of Christ Must be a resident of Burlington County, must be involved in at least one extracurricular activity, must be in a church activity, must have a 3.0 or better GPA. For requirements and application, CLICK HEREDeadline: June 21, 2018. 

     

    RCBC Service-Learning Scholars Scholarship

    Awarding a $1,000 scholarship to students who commit to the program for one year and perform a minimum of 200 hours of service. Scholars gain leadership skills, impact the community, and experience learning through hands-on service projects.  Student must be attending RCBC.     Opportunities for members of FIRST Robotics Team

    American College Foundation: Visionary Scholarship Program

    Awarding multiple scholarships which range from $1,000 to $5,000 each. Winners are selected based on submission of a 500-word essay. Financial need is NOT considered; all income levels are encouraged to apply.  All high school students (grades 9-12) are eligible to apply. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE.     Student-View Scholarship

    Awarding multiple scholarships which range from $500 to $4,000 each. Simply complete a 15-25 minute online survey about local colleges. You will then be automatically entered into a random drawing for a scholarship award. CLICK HERE, to apply.  Deadline: April 22, 2018

       

    Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia Scholarships

    Offering 16 scholarships totaling $46,500.   These scholarships will be awarded to students with "outstanding academic qualifications and financial need".  Some scholarships have special eligibility requirements.  CLICK HERE to review instructions and eligibility criteria. Deadline: April 2, 2018

     

    Toni Donato-Bolis and Baby RJ Foundation

    Awarding one scholarship to a graduating senior.  Winner will be selected based on academic achievement and their support of spreading awareness of the risks of distracted driving.  CLICK HERE for requirements and application. Dealine: April 4th, 2018

     

    Samuel A. Green Scholarship

    Awarding several scholarships (ranging from $1,000 - $10,000) to college-bound high school seniors. Recipients will be selected based on a short essay about "how a college education will help you cultivate prosperity in your neighborhood/community." CLICK HERE, for the application.     International Society for Key Women Educators

    Awarding a scholarship to a female graduating senior who is preparing to pursue a degree in the field of education.  For requirements and application, CLICK HEREDeadline: April 27, 2018

     

    Jon M. Pritsch Memorial Fund

    Awarding scholarships to students who play for their high school golf team and plan to pursue a career in Professional Golf.  Please see Mr. McMullen in the North Counseling Office for a copy of the application. Deadline: June 1, 2018

     

    The Thornton Sisters Foundation Scholarship

    Awarding scholarships to a “female of color (African-American, Latino-American, Caribbean-American, Native American, etc)” Applicants must have a GPA of C+ or better, provide 3 letters of recommendation, and submit an essay.     Horatio Alger Association Scholarship

    Awarding several scholarships with a maximum award of $2,500.  Must be interested in Career and Technical Education programs. For requirements and application, CLICK HERE. Deadline: June 15, 2018
