All LRHSD Schools Designated as No Place For Hate for the 13th Consecutive Year
Our nationally recognized No Place for Hate program is rooted in the strong relationship each of our four schools has with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). During the 2024-2025 school year, LRHSD schools earned their No Place for Hate designation for the thirteenth consecutive year. The No Place for Hate program helps schools challenge anti-Semitism, racism, homophobia and all forms of bigotry. We use it as an umbrella for both existing and new programs that reduce bias and bullying.
In order to earn the No Place for Hate designation, each school must create at least three projects that challenge students to think more critically and engage in meaningful activities that explore the value of diversity and teach skills to stop bias and bullying. All four Lenape Regional High Schools completed the requirements to become No Place for Hate for another school year. Some of these projects include attending the ADL’s Annual Youth Leadership Conference in December in Philadelphia; studying and observing Holocaust Remembrance Day; holding activities throughout the NJ Week of Respect and Martin Luther King Jr. Day; and engaging in a lesson on poverty. These projects provided students and educators with meaningful opportunities to explore identity and diversity, fostering greater understanding and respect for differences.
The LRHSD’s dedication to the program is demonstrated year after year through the thoughtful and impactful projects its schools implement, serving as a model for other schools in the region. While more districts continue to join the initiative, LRHSD remains the very first fully participating school district in New Jersey.
