Lenape High School

Lenape’s JROTC Drill Team competed in the Pleasantville Invitational Drill meet on December 14th.  This meet also served as the second South Jersey League meet.  Lenape JROTC earned first place in all South Jersey Platoon and Color Guard events securing their first-place league standings.  Additionally, Lenape JROTC placed first overall in a very close competition while earning three first places, and three second places within the various events. Lenape’s Student Council sponsored a very successful spirit week leading up to the Winter Holidays.  Spirit week featured dress-up days, special contests, door decorating, and a holiday-themed pep rally prior to winter break.  The week culminated with the Reindeer Games pep rally on December 20th, which I’m very proud to say that the Juniors took home the win.

Cherokee High School

Cherokee’s winter sports looked to kick off their season with high spirits as Cherokee transitioned from their fall to winter seasons. With the commencement of the winter season, Cherokee welcomed their newly established Dance Team, who has performed at multiple sporting events up to this date. Cherokee is incredibly proud of their Chiefs United Basketball team, where the Special Education Department is receiving outstanding recognition from the student body. On the academic side of things, Cherokee welcomed 131 inducted students into the National Honor Society.  To close out the second marking period and the semester, Cherokee looks forward to their annual Mr. Cherokee event, as well as their winter pep rally. Mr. Cherokee is always an exciting event for students, and they look forward to seeing our performing seniors showcase their hidden talents.

Shawnee High School

At Shawnee, they held their choral concert where the Shawnee choirs performed a free concert for members of the community! James DiBlasi, Andrew Fuente, Amelia Franken and Sakiyah Horsley recorded interviews for the Lenape District's 2025 Prepared to Succeed videos. Shawnee’s Soccer Team and Yellow Ribbon Club collected over 1,000 items for the Toys for Tots toy drive. They also had two alumni from the Shawnee Project Lead the Way program come back to talk to the current classes. They used their senior year capstone project to start a business that they are currently developing!

Seneca High School

Right before winter break, Seneca had a candy cane sale. They provided candy canes to students who purchased them for others. Seneca held their spirit day on December 20th after earlier themed days, where they played lyrical games and reindeer games during the school day. After break, some of their Student Council members visited TCNJ for the NJASC convention where they went to workshops to gain some new ideas on what other schools do for spirit days, class activities, bake sales, and school fundraisers.
