Lenape High School

Lenape hosted their fourth annual Wellness Day to wrap up the semester. Games were held in the cafeteria during lunch and learn and each class also attended an assembly to check in after their first semester in school.  On Valentine's Day, many clubs hosted activities and fundraisers. Lenape's Hero Club sold candy grams for students to purchase and the Tri-M Music Honors Society sold singing grams.  Lenape Student Council will be hosting their annual blood drive at the end of this month.

Shawnee High School

At Shawnee, the Spring Musical Singin’ in the Rain is getting ready for opening night this Friday. Everyone involved is so excited and cannot wait to show off all their hard work.  Also, last Friday, the Freshman and Sophomore classes held their snowball dance and everyone had a great time.

Cherokee High School

Cherokee's Senior class hosted their infamous Mr. Cherokee competition. The night is always so memorable for the contestants and the audience. The winter sports season is nearing an end and Cherokee’s basketball teams, swim teams and wrestling team have had amazing seasons. But what has really brought the school together has been the unified basketball team, Chiefs United. The games have been standing room only, filled with lots of energy. CBS attended one of the previous games to film a segment on the program!

Seneca High School

Two senior football players officially signed to play Division 1 football, one at Sacred Heart University and the other at The University of Pennsylvania. Girls basketball, boys basketball and wrestling recently hosted their Senior Nights to honor their senior athletes. Each night was bittersweet for the families, fans and the players. Finally, they had their home unified basketball game against Shawnee during the school day! Swoop, the Eagles Mascot, attended the game and had a pre-game dance party with the teams! Drew Lanzidelle, one of the Seneca unified athletes, was honored for scoring 500 points, making him the first Unified Athlete to accomplish this amazing milestone at Seneca. This basketball game was truly the best day of the year.

Seneca eSports Team Wins Rocket League State Championship

Seneca ESports

Seneca Principal Brad Bauer and Athletic Director Karen O'Neil were on hand to introduce members of Seneca's eSports team, Ayden Abrams, William Kehlenbeck, Noah Prate and Robert Tiver (not present) and their coaches Technology Education Teacher Kirk Seeley and World Language Teacher Jim Spicer.  Back in November, Seneca won their second State Championship in the game Rocket League when they defeated Ocean City High School. Competing in their first Fall Rocket League season, the Seneca eSports team went in as the team to beat.  After completing their second straight undefeated regular season, the team entered the state tournament as the top seed. In a best of five final match, the team jumped out to a 2-0 lead and for the first time all year their opponent beat them in a match.  Then it happened again, the score was 2-2 and the pressure mounted.  With the title on the line, the team pushed back and through excellent team defense and phenomenal teamwork the team scored the winning goal, with just 10 seconds left.
