Lenape High School

At Lenape, Boys Track had a great meet in Staten Island. MJ Lincoln continues to impress! He took home 1st place overall in the 55m dash breaking his own school record once again and qualifying for both the Nike and New Balance Nationals in the process with an impressive time of 6.44 seconds. The Wrestling team also had another great weekend finishing first in the Burlington County Wrestling Tournament.

Lenape also held their 23rd annual March for Martin, where student groups walk through the school hallways in solidarity to the “I Have a Dream" speech in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King. This year, Lenape also had a guest speaker who shared his experiences and promoted empathy and equality for our students.

Finally, Lenape held another Wellness Day this year featuring speaker Kristen Harootunian of Mind Your Mind. Kristen spoke about her experiences and struggles, inspiring students to advocate for their mental health and providing them with resources to deal with issues. The day also had many activities for students to participate in promoting wellness and mindfulness, such as playing instruments, gardening, art, and other activities. Thanks to Mrs. Conte, Mrs. Wolf and Dr. Mahr for coordinating the event.

Seneca High School

At Seneca, the school had its own Super Bowl Spirit Week and Pep Rally to show their support for the Eagles going to the Super Bowl. This included themed days such as Tailgate Tuesday, Wild Fan Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Fanatic Friday. The week concluded with a Pep Rally where the whole school got together to play trivia, win prizes, and support the Eagles.

Second, Seneca had a Valentine's Day cookie sale selling cookies to students and staff, which were delivered by the Student Council.

Lastly, Seneca will have their annual spring blood drive coming up on February 26th, which is run by the Student Council. They have been doing ongoing promotion for this event and are hoping to get a great turnout for a good cause.

Cherokee High School

As the month of January and the semester came to a close, Cherokee segued into February with high spirits. Mr. Cherokee was an incredible success, as the Performing Arts Center was packed with students, staff, and family. Congratulations to Max Ingram on earning the well-deserving and fitting title.

A precursor to Mr. Cherokee was the very spirited Winter Pep Rally with performances by the Dance Team and Pep Band, as well as outstanding participation by our staff, Mr. Cherokee contestants, and Student Council representatives.

To keep up the spirit, the Symphonic Orchestra held their annual winter concert, featuring members from the Strings Program, Wind Ensemble, Brass, and Percussion. Lastly, Cherokee is proud to recognize some amazing academic achievements. They had two National Merit Finalists, Steven Willi and Nick Korobellis.

Shawnee High School

Shawnee also celebrated the Super Bowl win by hosting their own Spirit Week, where each day represented a different Philly sports team. They also are highlighting their musical talent, as seven members of the Shawnee Choir performed with the All-South Jersey Choir at Rowan University.

In terms of athletics, Shawnee hosted Seneca for a Unified Basketball game during the school day. Shawnee also celebrated some amazing wins with Cam Tilger breaking the 200m free record and Chris Ahrens earning his 100th win in wrestling.
