BOE Student Representative Monthly Report
Lenape High School
Lenape held an elective fair this month. Students in select classes volunteered to make presentations to inform underclassmen about the educational opportunities in elective classes. Lenape also held their annual powderpuff game. The game was between the junior and senior girls in flag football. Lenape's junior class took home the victory this year! Finally, Lenape's student council is hosting a holiday spirit week and a holiday pep rally the week before winter break. This pep rally will include bringing back the reindeer games for the first time in 5 years! Sounds like so much fun!
Shawnee High School
Shawnee held their annual blood drive. Many students donated blood to help save lives during a time of need. Shawnee High School also inducted over 100 new members into their National Honor Society. Finally, Shawnee is gearing up for their holiday spirit week, which will take place the week before winter break, which will include different themed days throughout the week.
Cherokee High School
In the past month at Cherokee, the theater department has been putting on performances of Annie. This was very successful because of their awesome cast, stage crew and directors. The show would not be the same without all of their time dedicated to perfecting the show! Every night the performing arts center was filled with people ready to sit back and enjoy Annie. Cherokee students were also giving back this month by donating their blood in their annual blood drive. Many students took the time to donate with the hope of saving lives and making a positive impact on others.
Seneca High School
Seneca hosted the final Turkey Bowl against Cherokee this year. On the day prior to the game, Seneca and Cherokee High School football, cheerleading, marching band and color guard captains as well as student leaders all gathered at La Campagnola to eat brunch and converse with each other. Seneca ended up winning the game, making it monumental for Coach Fisher's last game as Seneca's head football coach. Also, Seneca's fall drama recently put on their performance of The Play That Goes Wrong. This play was super funny and kept the crowd engaged. Overall, the play was a huge success for the fall drama crew. Finally, Seneca is doing candy cane grams for all students and staff who would like to send a little treat to their friends before we go on winter break!
