Request to Governor Murphy for an explanation on behalf of Lenape Regional High School District’s school funding aid numbers for his FY25 proposed budget.

I was extremely disappointed to learn that several school districts in our legislative district had a drastic reduction in funding in the Governor’s budget proposal. However, it is important to note that the Governor’s budget is just that - a proposal, as it must go through the legislative approval process by July 1st.

Senator Singleton introduced legislation aimed at preventing cuts to state aid for school districts in the FY2025 Budget, providing for more parity between school districts, and preventing increases to local property taxes.
