I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express how proud I am to be the Director of the Sequoia Alternative Program!
Over the last 20 years in education, I have been blessed with the opportunity to foster the academic, behavioral and personal growth of countless students. After graduating form the College of New Jersey with a Bachelors of Science in Special Education, I began career at Ewing High School as Special Education Teacher. During my time at Ewing High School, I taught in a self-contained program for students with behavioral disorders and coordinating an after school twilight program for at-risk students.
I moved to South Jersey in 2001 and began my career in the Lenape Regional High School District as a Special Education Teacher at Lenape High School. During this time, I attended Rider University and earned a Masters in Education Administration. I taught at Lenape High School for five years before moving to Shawnee High School. At Shawnee I served as an Assistant Principal and Supervisor of Special Education for nine wonderful years.
I have had the honor of being the Director of the Sequoia Alternative Program since 2015 and I couldn’t be more proud of our students or our program. I approach each and every day with an unwavering commitment to the academic, behavioral and emotional success of our students. Watching our students persevere to overcome many challenges and thrive in the Sequoia Alternative Program has been absolute source of joy for not only myself but the entire Sequoia Family.
I absolutely love what I do and I look forward to working with you in the future. If you have any questions, please give me a call at 609-268-3700 ext. 370200.
