    Come to AIM Tutoring!

    2:35 - 3:35 P.M.
    South Media Center

AIM(AcademicsInMotion) is offered on Wednesdays after school.  It is a great peer tutoring program that provides students with an opportunity to improve their grades and build our Cherokee community.   This program uses the talents of the National Honor Society (NHS) students who volunteer to tutor other Cherokee students for one hour after school every Wednesday.  The tutoring takes place in the South Media Center from 2:35 P.M. – 3:35 P.M., and tutors are available to assist students in all subjects.  The purpose of AIM is to help all students, but especially freshmen who are coming from different middle schools and different levels of ability.

At the end of each tutoring session, all students in attendance will receive a pass, signed by the tutor/faculty advisor, to give to their teachers, coaches, or advisors showing that they have attended a tutoring session.

Students are always welcome to come to AIM as walk-ins, but they may also sign up on the NHS E-board: http://www.nationalhonorsociety.cherokee.site.eboard.com .  On  the E-board, there is an AIM tab with an AIM Weekly Sign-up Note presenting the date of each tutoring session.  When signing up to be tutored, students should give their names and the subject (s) in which they need assistance.  This will assure that there will be tutors in the subject areas requested present at the upcoming AIM session.   Nevertheless, much effort is made to ensure that walk-ins are accommodated also. There are always more than enough tutors in the AIM sessions waiting to assist!

For more information you may contact Mr. Lynn or Mr. Rojek, NHS advisors; or Mrs. Dennis and Mrs. Connolly, AIM Advisors.
