Math Skills: Don�t think you will ever use algebra, geometry or some other obscure math concept?Think again!During this scavenger hunt, we will be exploring how the following math skills can actually help us in surprising ways in everyday life: problem solving, following directions, patience, organization, predicting, and logic.

 

Mastery Objective: The student will be able to:

  • locate, utilize, and apply technology from online resources using the media center website.
  • explain how math skills apply and help in everyday situations (Think creatively! Some of the answers may not be so obvious).

Instructions:

1. Find and read the articles listed.

2. Briefly (two or three sentences minimum) describe how each of these math skills play a role in each of the following activities:
