Student Entrance and Exit Criteria

Targeted Assistance Entrance Criteria: Students that demonstrate or are recommended as academically in need using the criteria below will receive Title I Services.
 
  • 12th grade students that are required to meet at least one threshold score in English Language Arts (ELA) and/or Mathematics on the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA), or another designated substitute assessment (SAT, PSAT10, PSAT/NMSQT, ACT, Accuplacer, or ASVAB-AFQT) and have not yet met those score(s). 
     
  • Students in grades 10 and 11 who earned a course grade of D or F in their English, Science and/or Math class the previous year.
     
  • 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students earning a course grade of a D or F in current English, Science and /or Math.
     
  • Students recommended by their teachers and/or counselors based on grades and assessments.***

Targeted Assistance Exit Criteria: Students that fulfill the requirement below will no longer be eligible for services through Title I.
 

Students who meet all of the following exit criteria are no longer eligible to receive Title I services:

Earn a passing score on a New Jersey High School Graduation Assessment for English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics and earn a final grade of a C or higher in Math, Science and English classes.
