Process to Pursue Physical Education Exemption

  1. Interested students should select Option 2 PE in course selection portal.
  2. Counseling Department will send school-specific Google Form (PE Exemption Application) to students and parents/guardians who selected Option 2 PE as a course request.
  3. Counselors confirm that all students in their alpha completed the form and then change schedules accordingly. Students who do not complete the form are not signed up for Option 2 PE.
  4. For students participating in a LRHSD sport/activity or marhcing band, nothing else needs to be done by the student or parent/guardian unless the student does not end up participating in that sport/activity or has a season-ending injury.
  5. For students requesting to earn PE credits through an outside sport, counselors send "Coaches Form" and ensure that the sport meets the criteria.
