Lenape Regional High School District

Gifted and Talented

The Lenape Regional High School District provides a variety of opportunities and acceleration for students to deepen and enhance their high school educational experience.

Gifted and talented refers to students who possess or demonstrate high levels of ability in one or more content areas when compared to their peers who require modification of their educational program if they are to achieve in accordance with their capabilities.

The LRHSD allows enrichment for students who are identified as gifted and talented. Instructional adaptation is most often an adjustment to instruction, enabling a student who is gifted and talented to participate in and demonstrate knowledge of the current NJ state standards in one of the more content areas.

There are multiple measures used to identify students.  Additionally, teachers, parents and administrators can identify students as needing modifications to their educational experience.
