Colonel Dennis Brown is a 1978 CHS graduate. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Biology (Rutgers), a Masters of Science in Administration (Central Michigan), and a Masters of Science in Engineering (Univeristy of Texas), he has fulfilled a variety of high-ranking army assignments during his 26 years of commissioned service with the US Army. With health responsibilities for US troops overseas and for troops belonging to Central and Southwest Asian countries, he is now the Chief of Staff for the US Army Public Health Command.
Mr. Ken D’Andrea is a 1984 CHS graduate. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering (Lehigh University) and an MS in Organizational Dynamics (University of Pennsylvania). Working for over 20 years with Verizon, he invented three US patents for creation of the internet platform. Following the attacks of 9/11, he assisted in restoration of communication services in a matter of days to large business customers in NY and NJ. He has served Evesham in the capacity of Township Planning Board, Township Council, and Marlton Rec Council. He is now the Vice-President of Customer Service for Verizon.
Mr. Ryan Dooley is a 1992 CHS graduate. With Bachelor’s degrees in International Affairs and Latin American Studies from George Washington University, he also completed studies at the Universidad San Franciso de Quito in Ecuador and the Université de Grenoble in France. He began his career with the US Department of State in 1996. Through his French and Spanish fluency, his official State Department duties have taken him across the US and to over 40 countries. He is now the Director of the US Department of State’s Miami Passport Agency.
Mr. Stephen Fortino is a 1979 CHS graduate. Since earning his Bachelor’s in Political Science (Villanova) and his Master’s in Business Administration (St. Joseph’s University), he has been employed by Abbott Laboratories (Pharmaceutical Products) for 27 years and is currently the Eastern Regional Sales Director. He has won numerous awards, and his affiliations include the Philadelphia Rheumatism Society, American College of Rheumatology, Arthritis Foundation, and Epilepsy Foundation of America. He has served Evesham through the Education Foundation, Township Planning Board, and Marlton Rec Council.
Dr. Ken Fraunhoffer is a 1998 CHS graduate who earned straight “A’s”at CHS all four years and who took every Honors and AP course offered at the time. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry summa cum laude (Princeton) and a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry (Harvard)—Doctoral Thesis: Streamlining Synthesis of Small Molecules via C-H Oxidation. He has received numerous awards and honors, is well-published, earned a US patent, and has made presentations at national meetings of the American Chemical Society. He is now the Senior Research Investigator for Bristol-Myers Squibb.
Mr. Donald Stecher began his career with the LRHSD in 1966 as a Social Studies teacher. Becoming a supervisor and later an assistant principal, he eventually served proudly as the Prinicipal of Cherokee from 1987-2001. Under his leadership, “buckaroos faced many conundrums” as he forged Cherokee staff, students, and the Evesham community into “The Cherokee Family.” His visionary thinking created five new initiatives, the impacts of which are still revered at CHS: Italian, strings in our music program, RBT, AP courses, and Renaissance. He will long be remembered as “The Face of Cherokee.”
