Dr. Knecht came to the Lenape Regional High School District at Seneca High School in 2008. He taught English at Seneca before becoming an Assistant Principal and Supervisor of English, World Languages, Music, and the Media Center in 2016. He currently supervises Counseling, English, Music, and the Media Center.

Dr. Knecht was named Seneca High School's, Lenape Regional High School District's, and Burlington County's Teacher of the Year in 2014. He earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Rowan University in 2022.
