  • 2016 FCCLA NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE WINNERS

    Shawnee Principal Matthew Campbell and FCCLA Advisor Kathy Ware were on hand to introduce the 2016 FCCLA National Leadership Conference Winners.  This past summer, over 8,500 FCCLA members from across the country gathered in San Diego to network with fellow members, attend FCCLA program workshops and leadership sessions, and compete in STAR Events. The following Shawnee students earned medals at the conference: Alexa Giannini (not pictured), Nicole Ware, Cassandra Bodendorf, Colin DeVico, Courtney Kaiser and Reagan Feudtner. 

  • Lenape District Community Service Presentation

    * The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $11,000 for the SHS/Wrestling Mat from MYAA Shawnee Junior Wrestling.
     
    * The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $2,819.80 for the SHS/Wrestling Mat from Shawnee Wrestling Booster Club.
     
    * The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $300 for the CHS/Freshman Seminar Program from CHS Foundation for Education.
     
    * The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $850 for the CHS/Varsity Baseball Field Improvements from Cherokee Baseball Booster Club.
     
    * The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $800 for the CHS/Cheerleader Apparel from Northern States Funding.
  • Miscellaneous
     
    Numerous other requests for approval of student activities and education items were approved by the Board of Education. These approvals are reflected in the formal minutes of the meeting which are available in the office of the Board of Education secretary.
     
    The next Board of Education meeting is Wednesday, October 19th at 7:30 p.m. at the Lenape District Administration Building in Shamong.
