• Cadets/students can access this portal at any time during the year.

I highly recommend taking this course even if you are not taking the SATs.

    1.   The Navy JROTC has initiated a program designed to increase our cadets' (to include non-cadets who are interested in a NROTC scholarship)  opportunities for higher education.

    2.   To help accomplish that goal, the Navy is making available the internet based Online SAT and ACT preparation course at no cost to participating cadets/students.  The course will better prepare students to take the SAT or ACT and attain a competitive score.  Cadets will learn test-taking strategies in order to improve scores on the SAT/ACT and on other standardized tests, including those mandated by the "No Child Left Behind" Act.

    3.   This course is being offered to motivated cadets/students who demonstrate a resolve to complete the course of instruction and improve their standardized test results.  Results from previous years demonstrate that parental involvement and teacher monitoring of progress were prime factors in successful completion.

    4.   Internet access is required to participate.  Cadets/students will access the course as follows:  http://jrotccollegeprep.com/ <http://jrotccollegeprep.com/> . Cadets/students can register for the SAT or ACT prep course, but not both.

    5.   Any questions, please e mail Major Meehan (rmeehan@lrhsd.org).

SAT/ACT Prep program includes a mobile app which is active as of March 1 2018.

When you first log on to the jrotccollegeprep.com website, you will see a pop-up box announcing the app.  While the log on is fairly straight forward, there are steps which must be done in a certain sequence in order to gain access.  I have included with this message a step by step cook book for logging on.  Please feel free to distribute and copy as necessary to maximize the availability.
