Sequoia’s School Counseling Center
School counselors are certified, specially trained, caring people. They are available to work with students on academics, career planning, testing information, college selection and personal concerns. Counselors also act as resource personnel for parents, students, teachers, the Child Study Team, and CORE Team, Pupil Assistance Committee and the Administration. Parents who have a concern about their student should contact the individual counselor assigned to their child. Students can make appointments to see their counselor by stopping in at the Counseling Center before homeroom or between classes. In addition to working with individual students, the guidance department facilitates a variety of support groups designed to help students dealing with common issues.
