    Steps to a successful Audition
    *You are considered for every role no matter who you read/sing for.*
    Step 1.Audition Date: Saturday November 23, 2019
    Sign Up for a time. 

     

    ATTENTION!!! IN ORDER TO OPEN UP MORE SPACE THE AUDITION TIME SLOTS ARE NOW 7 MINUTES INSTEAD OF 10 MINUTES. PLEASE GO BACK AND LOOK AT YOUR AUDITION TIME AS IT MAY HAVE CHANGED BY A FEW MINUTES.
    SPREAD THE WORD TO YOUR OTHER FRIENDS AUDITIONING.

     ***If you are auditioning with a partner (dialogue only)you must sign up for separate times that are right next to each other.

    YOU MUST JOIN THIS CLASSROOM IN ORDER TO GAIN ONLINE ACCESS TO THE SCRIPT AND MUSIC FOR YOUR AUDITION. 
     
     
     
    Step 3:Please fill out this sheet before coming to your audition:
    You cannot audition without this completed form. 
    YOU WILL NOT BE CAST IN THE SHOW WITHOUT THIS PAPER

    Step 4:     Audition Materials  
    Please read directions carefully.
    You may only audition with 1 song and 1 scene but you will be considered for all appropriate roles.
     
    Dialogue: You may choose any scene from this list. You will read for one character and I will read all other roles.
    You may choose to audition with  a partner for your scene but must sign up for adjacent audition times. See above.
    The directors reserve the right to stop you at anytime if we feel we have heard enough. If you are interested in a character not shown here just choose the scene that seems closest and note the character on your audition sheet.
     
     
     Ariel, Flounder, Scuttle
     
    Eric
    (you may bring in a friend to play Ariel if you wish to do some blocking)
     
    Grimsby
     
    Sebastian, Triton, Mersisters(read for Aquata)
     
    Ursula
    (this dialogue goes into the song. If you are also singing this song you can just go in and out with the lines)
     
     
    Music: You will sing ONE song from this list. It does not have to be the same character as your dialogue.
    The directors reserve the right to stop you at anytime if we feel we have heard enough. 
    (I encourage learning multiple pieces in the event of callbacks.) 
     
    Please be prepared to sing with a live accompanist.

    If you are only interested in an ensemble role (non-speaking, no solos) you do not need to read a scene in your audition. Just choose a song that is approiate for your vocal ability.

    *Callbacks (if necessary) will take place on Monday and Tuesday during Lunch and Learn in the Chorus room.

    Cast List will be posted online on Wednesday November 27th at the end of the day
     
    The first MANDATORY cast meeting will be Monday December 2nd,
    after school in the auditorium. Followed by the read through.
