3-29-21 Notification of Positive COVID-19 Case at Cherokee High School

  • Dear Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians: 

    This letter is to inform you that an individual at Cherokee High School has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).   

    At the recommendation of the Burlington County Health Department, Cherokee may remain open. Contact tracing has been completed and the individual’s exposure was traced to a source outside of Cherokee.  If you were identified as a close contact (within 6 feet for 15 cumulative minutes or more over 24 hours), you received additional notifications in the form of a phone call and a letter. If you did not receive additional notifications, no further action is required.

    Any student or staff member who is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms COVID-19 Screening Tool or being tested should notify the school nurse and remain home from school and all extra-curricular activities.
