3-19-21 Notification of Positive COVID-19 Case at Shawnee High School

Dear Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians:
This letter is to inform you that an individual at Shawnee High School has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The District is coordinating closely with the Burlington County Health Department (BCHD) and following CDC and State guidelines in order to ensure the health and safety of our community.
Per the guidelines of the BCHD, Shawnee may remain open. As of this date, there is no evidence of a COVID-19 spread from within our building. Contact tracing has been completed and the individual’s exposure was traced to a source outside of Shawnee. There were no close contacts at Shawnee.
We appreciate our community’s support and cooperation. Any student or staff member who is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms COVID-19 Screening Tool or being tested should notify the school nurse and remain home from school and all extra-curricular activities.
