Lenape High School Full Remote Through December 23
Dear Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians:
This letter is to inform you today we learned of two individuals at Lenape High School who tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). At this point, there is no evidence that these cases are connected to the previously reported cases.
Therefore, in consultation with the Burlington County Health Department and based on these escalating confirmed positives and presumed positive cases of COVID-19, Lenape High School students will learn remotely through December 23rd to ensure the health and safety of our community. The target date to resume in-person instruction and all in-person school activities is Monday, January 4, 2021. As this situation remains fluid, if there needs to be an adjustment of dates based on additional positive cases, we will notify our school community.
All other schools in the district (with the exception of Lenape) will remain open for in-person learning.
Please continue to contact School Nurse Suzanne Senechal at 609-654-5111, ext. 334100 if you receive news about a positive case within your family or a close contact during remote days. They can assist you in the proper protocols as well as start contact tracing as part of our requirement.
More information will be sent by Principal Cattani regarding our schedule for the next two weeks, the expectations for live/remote instruction for staff and students, and how to arrange access to the building for any materials, if needed.
Be safe, sincerely,
Carol L. Birnbohm, Ed.D.
