11-16-20 Notification of Positive COVID-19 Case at Seneca High School
-
Dear Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians:
This letter is to inform you that today we learned that an individual at Seneca High School has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The District is coordinating closely with public health officials and following CDC, state, and local health department guidance in order to assure the health and safety of our community. Seneca and the Burlington County Health Department (BCHD) investigated and determined that this case was epidemiologically linked to an exposure outside of the school setting.
Per the guidelines from the BCHD, Seneca may remain open tomorrow. As of this date, there is no evidence of a COVID 19 spread from within our building. Contact tracing has been completed. If you were identified as a close contact (within 6 feet for 15 cumulative minutes or more over 24 hours), you have received an additional notification. If you did not receive additional notification, no further action is required.
As always, we appreciate our community’s support and cooperation. You can assist us by remaining vigilant but sensible in your approach to dealing with this health concern. Any student or staff member who is getting tested should let the school nurse know and remain home from school and all school activities until a negative test result has been provided to the school nurse. Should you have any questions about this situation, please feel free to call me directly at 609-268-4600, extension 669000 or our school nurse, Melinda Mehigan at 609-268-4600, extension 663700.
Sincerely,
Bradley H. Bauer
Principal
