11-8-20 Notification of Positive COVID-19 Case at Seneca High School

  • Dear Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians:

This letter is to inform you that today we learned that an individual at Seneca High School has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). This individual has not been in the school in over a week. The District coordinated closely with public health officials and following CDC, state, and local health department guidance in order to assure the health and safety of our community. Due to the amount of time between this individual’s last day in the building and the testing date, no contact tracing needs to be done for Seneca High School.

At the recommendation of the Burlington County Health Department, Seneca may remain open tomorrow. As of this date, there is no evidence of a COVID 19 spread from within our building.

As always, we appreciate our community’s support and cooperation. You can assist us by remaining vigilant but sensible in your approach to dealing with this health concern. Any student or staff member who is getting tested should let the school nurse know and remain home from school and all school activities until a negative test result has been provided to the school nurse. Should you have any questions about this situation, please feel free to call me directly at 609-268-4600, extension 669000 or our school nurse, Melinda Mehigan at 609-268-4600, extension 663700.

    Sincerely,

    Brad Bauer
    Principal
