10-22-20 Notification of Positive COVID-19 Case at Cherokee High School

  • Dear Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians:

    This letter is to inform you, today we learned an individual at Cherokee has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The District is coordinating closely with public health officials and following CDC, state, and local health department guidance in order to assure the health and safety of our community.

    As of this date, there is no evidence of a COVID 19 spread from within our building. Cherokee has assisted the Burlington County Health Department with contact tracing and necessary individuals have been contacted. If you are identified as a close contact (within 6 feet for 10 minutes or more), you will receive an additional notification via email within 24 hours.  If you do not receive additional notification, no further action is required.

    We appreciate our community’s support and cooperation. Please continue to assist us by remaining vigilant but sensible in your approach to dealing with this health concern. If your child does not feel well or has even minor symptoms, please keep your child at home and utilize our remote instruction.
