9-21-20 Notification of 2nd Positive COVID-19 Case at Cherokee High School

  • Dear Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians:

This letter is to inform you that this afternoon we learned that another individual at Cherokee High School has tested positive for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Cherokee and the Burlington County Health Department (BCHD) were able to quickly investigate and determine that the two positive cases were epidemiologically linked.   When two cases are linked schools may remain open. https://www.lrhsd.org/Page/11915

Cherokee is continuing to assist the BCHD with contact tracing. If you are identified as a close contact (within 6 feet for 10 minutes or more), you will receive an additional notification via an email and phone call within 24 hours.  No further action is required if you do not receive an additional notification.

As always, we appreciate our community’s support and cooperation. You can assist us by remaining vigilant but sensible in your approach to dealing with this health concern. Should you have any questions about this situation, please contact me directly at 856-983-5140 ext. 229000 or School Nurse Deidre Golden at 856-983-5140 ext. 221800.

    Sincerely,
