  • Operation Open LRHSD Logo Superintendent of Schools Carol Birnbohm, Ed.D. presented Operation Open LRHSD which detailed the plans to restart the District with consideration for student and staff safety, wellness, and continuity of academic programs.

    • The Board of Education approved the donation of a 1966 Bach Stadivarius Trumpet (valued at $200) for Cherokee's Music Department from Vicki Fallon.
    • The Board of Education approved the donation of 100 Personal Protection Masks (valued at $250) for District Staff from Carl Olt.


  • Numerous other requests for approval of student activities and education items were approved by the Board of Education. These approvals are reflected in the formal minutes of the meeting which are available in the office of the Board of Education Secretary.
    The next Board of Education meeting is Wednesday, September 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Seneca High School Auditorium.
    Face masks and social distancing will be required at all times while inside Seneca High School. Please do not attend if you are sick and/or have any of the following COVID-19 signs or symptoms: Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea; a history of exposure to COVID-19 and/or you have travelled to or returned from any states on the New Jersey quarantine list within the past fourteen days.

    All individuals seeking to enter Seneca High School for the meeting will have their temperatures taken by contactless scanning.  In the event it is verified that an individual’s temperature exceeds 100.3, that individual will not be permitted to enter the building.
