I would like to take this opportunity to communicate proactive measures our school district is taking in regards to COVID-19. Your support and cooperation over the next several weeks is strongly encouraged.
Be assured that the district continuously takes precautions in regards to reducing the spread of influenza-like illnesses and follows the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Healthy Schools guidelines with regards to disinfecting our buildings and school busses.
We are monitoring guidance documents from the CDC, the Burlington County Health Department and New Jersey Department of Education to determine the best steps to take in our schools should we experience COVID-19.
The following are a few things that you can do to help reduce the spread of viruses in our schools and community:
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve, not your hands.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not
available. Hand sanitizing wipes are located in every classroom and sanitizing dispensers are placed
throughout our schools.
- Stay home if you are sick and avoid sick people.
- Review and follow CDC travel advisories when planning travel. If you become ill after returning home
to the United States, call your healthcare provider.
Please accept our appreciation for working with us to keep our students and staff virus free. For more information about COVID-19, visit our school district website at www.lrhsd.org.
