New Jersey State Aid Reductions Impact on LRHSD & SOS

Lenape High School Presentation
Lenape High School Principal Tony Cattani introduced seniors Laine Klimek and Bryce Reece who gave a presentation to the Board of Education about academics, athletics, community service and the various school activities at Lenape during the 2018-2019 school year.
Cherokee High School Presentation
Cherokee High School Principal Donna Charlesworth introduced seniors Gabrielle Glenning and Max Voiro who gave a presentation to the Board of Education about academics, athletics, community service and the various school activities at Cherokee during the 2018-2019 school year.
Lenape High School Marching Band Champions
Lenape High School's Marching Band, under the direction of Steve Waldron, was recognized by the Board of Education for winning the 2018 USBANDS Group II Open New Jersey State Championship. The student performers put on a powerful show, also winning the caption awards for Best Music, Best Visuals, Best Overall Effect and Best Percussion. This is the fifth consecutive state title for the marching band and ninth in the last ten years.

- The Board of Education approved the donation of CPR in Schools Training Kit (valued at $600) for Shawnee High School from Tom Mossotti/American Heart Association.
- The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $1633.51 for Seneca's Prom House from Seneca Parents Group.
- The Board of Education approved the donation of a vibraphone (valued at $4,500) for Lenape's Music Deptment from Lenape Band Parents.
- The Board of Education approved the donation of water (valued at $50) for Shawnee's Charity Water Club from Charity Water.
Numerous other requests for approval of student activities and education items were approved by the Board of Education. These approvals are reflected in the formal minutes of the meeting which are available in the office of the Board of Education Secretary.The next Board of Education meeting is Wednesday, April 17th at 7:30 p.m. at the Lenape District Administration Building in Shamong.
