Board Member John Jeffers Recognition

  • The LRHSD Board of Education recognized the retirement of long-serving member Mr. John D. Jeffers from the Board. Mr. Jeffers was elected as the Mount Laurel Township representative to the LRHSD Board in April 1997.  Board President Ms. Margaret Estlow and fellow Mount Laurel Township Representative Ms. Paula Lee presented Mr. Jeffers with a plaque honoring his 22 years of service to the LRHSD Board of Education and to his commitment to meeting the needs of all Lenape District students.

    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $250 for Seneca's National Art Honor Society from American Athletic Courts, Inc.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $250 for Seneca's Art Club from American Athletic Courts, Inc.
    • The Board of Education approved the donation of a customized logo table (valued at $200) for Shawnee's Athletic Department from Instinct Graphics.
    • The Board of Education approved the donation of a printer (valued at $349) for Seneca's PLTW Engineering Program from Oakridge Institute for Science and Education.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $300 for Cherokee's Cross Country Apparel from Cherokee Cross Country Booster Club.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $300 for Cherokee's Wood Lab from Lincoln Investment.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $100 for SEN-SHS Iron Devils Robotics Team from Radwell International.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $2000 for Cherokee's Special Education Program from Hess & Helyn Kline Foundation.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $300 for Seneca's Literary Magazine from Samantha Lucas Memorial Fund.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $300 for Cherokee's Holocaust Museum Field Trip from Cherokee Foundation for Education.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $250 for Cherokee's National Honor Society from Cherokee Foundation for Education.
    • The Board of Education approved the monetary donation of $360 for Cherokee's School Newspaper from Cherokee Foundation for Education.

Miscellaneous

  • Numerous other requests for approval of student activities and education items were approved by the Board of Education. These approvals are reflected in the formal minutes of the meeting which are available in the office of the Board of Education Secretary.
     
    The next Board of Education meeting is Wednesday, March 20th at 7:30 p.m. at the Lenape District Administration Building in Shamong.
