Computer Applications (Level 2 and 3)
Level 2:
For students who have tested out of Level 3 Computer Applications. This course will cover word processing, databases, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, slide presentations and Internet technology. It will prepare students for the more advances courses in each of these areas.
Level 3: Introduces students to the use of computer software, which includes word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. Teaches basic keyboarding skills using the touch method. Special emphasis will be given to research papers, memo s, and business letters. Full year, Grades 9-12. Students may test out.

Want to produce your own professional-looking web site? Then this is the course for you! You'll work on authoring and editing web pages, using scanners and digital cameras as well as gaining experience with state-of-the-art graphic manipulation software.< /p>

Word/Access/Excel (Level 2 and 3)
Pre-requisite: Computer Applications
Teaches the leading MS Windows sheet package. Learn editing, graphic display, printing, formatting, macros, envelopes/labels and more. Work with formulas, formatting, printing, charts, and graphs. Grades 10-12.

Macromedia Studio MX (Level 2)
Pre-requisite: Computer Applications
This course is designed as an advanced course in web design. It will provide students with the opportunity to improve the quality of graphics used in web design as well as enable them to apply more advanced tools of design to their overall projects.

Graphic Presentations (Level 2)
Pre-requisite: Computer Applications
Produce a typeset-quality page. Learn how to work with templates and how to scan and import images into documents while making advertisements, flyers, and menus. Students will learn to plan, create, and design their own publications and logos. Utilization of Photo Shop, Page maker, digital cameras and scanners will be mastered. Grades 10-12.

Accounting I (Level 2)
Learn the basic principles, master the skills necessary to record, summarize, and classify business activities. Projects, simulations, and computers are used. Grades 9-12.

Accounting II (Level 2)
Pre-requisite: Accounting I
Develop advanced skills in payroll, inventory, uncollectable accounts, depreciation and accruals. Spreadsheets and computers are used. Grades 9-12.

Accounting III (Level 2)
Pre-requisite Accounting I and II
This is the foundation for further study of accounting. You will attain more knowledge of more complex and diverse accounting topics such as taxes, analysis of financial statements, career opportunities, cost accounting, spreadsheet applications, and comp uter accounting systems. Grades 9-12.

Accounting IV (Level 1)
Pre-requisite: Accounting I, II, and III
This course is designed as an advanced academic level class. In this course, students will complete a variety of projects while focusing on building a strong foundation of skills in accounting concepts. Grades 9-12.

Career Awareness/Personal Finance (Level 2)
Students need a sound financial foundation from which to build their careers. This course will develop financial literacy and investigate career choices. Students will learn to manage, utilize, and reconcile checking and savings accounts, including electr onic banking. Personal decision-making regarding budgeting, career choices, investments, loans and insurance will be covered. Career research, employment documents, and interviewing techniques will be also emphasized. Quicken personal financial software a nd guest speakers will be used to reinforce concepts learned. Grades 10-12.

Introduction to Business(Level 3 and 4)
Want to be an entrepreneur? Learn about legal procedures, wills, contracts, and employer/employee relations. Learn about supply and demand, prices, wages, and the function of money and credit.

Law, Economics, and Management (Level 3)
In this course, you will learn about legal procedures, wills, contracts, and employer-employee relations. Basic concepts of law, rights, and responsibilities and the criminal justice system will be taught. Types of business organization and management tre nds are presented. You will learn about economic principles, supply and demand, prices, wages, and the function of money and credit in the economy. Grades 10-12.

Sales and Marketing (Level 3)
Prepare for a job in retail/sales. Learn how to make oral sales presentations, write sales manuals, and learn about the history and basic rules of selling. In the marketing unit, learn about the flow of goods and services. Participation in DECA (An Associ ation of Marketing Students) competitions is available. Full year.

Sports, Hospitality Management(Level 2)
This fast growing field is multifaceted and diverse. Learn and experience what it takes to recruit professional sports players, design a stadium, determine vendors, schedule entertainers, design programs and tickets, how to determine pricing, advertise/pr omote, public relations as well as hotel/restaurant and travel management. Students will be members of DECA, An Association of Marketing Students, and be eligible to compete for awards and scholarships. Grades 11-12.

Cooperative Business Education (Level 3)
Pre-requisite: A Computer course, full-year
As a senior, you could go to school in the morning, work in a business environment in the afternoon, get paid and earn academic credit for your work experience. Grade 12.

Marketing Education (Level 3)
Pre-requisite: A Business course
As a senior, you could go to school in the morning and work in the sales and marketing arena in the afternoon, get paid and earn academic credit for your work experience. Students participate in DECA (An Association of Marketing Students). Grade 12. < /em>

Entrepreneurship (Level 2)
Starting and owning your own business is the American dream. This course gives you the strategies and skills needed to plan, develop, and integrate your ides to be a successful business owner. You will develop a detailed business plan. Students will be m embers of DECA, An Association of Marketing Students, and be eligible for awards and scholarships. Grades 9-12.
